Question:

Can I talk to my student? He is like my son. Who is reading in FSc. I have emotional attachment with him. I like him, I pray for him, I guide him. I m33 yrs old, having 3 children. Besides this i make pardah even of my cousins. Am i wrong?

Answer:

In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

In the name of Allah Most Merciful Most Compassionate

I pray you are well and in the best of health and iman.

This would depend on the age of your student, if he has reached puberty, then you should detach yourself and perhaps have your husband or a good religious person speak with him.

And Allah alone gives success.

Now What?

The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "Knowledge is only through study." While some knowledge can be gained from reading or casually listening to lectures, the best means to gain knowledge is through finding a qualified teacher and then setting up a systematic program of learning. Picking up a book or reading an article and trying to figure things out on our own is no substitute for learning from someone who has a direct link to our living tradition.
